Dispelling the Myths of Multiculturalism and Problematizing DEI; An introduction to K–12 Ethnic Studies

In this introductory level module, we learn what ethnic studies is not and begin to understand what it is by challenging status-quo "DEI" (diversity, equity, and inclusion) narratives. You'll hear from various scholars about why DEI not only isn't enough, but often masks the realities of racially marginalized students. The course offers insights and descriptions of authentic, liberatory Ethnic Studies from leading scholars in the field.
